Vandoren SR424 ZZ Tenor Saxophone Reeds (Strength 4) (Pack of 5)

I really like these reeds. I use the Vandoren ZZ Jazz reeds for my Alto and so it was a natural choice to continue with this make when I got my tenor saxophone. The reeds are individually wrapped and sealed in individual moisture proof wrappers which helps to keep them pristine until you want to use them. They each have a plastic cover which protects them from knocks when not in use during storage.These reeds have an individual character so they don't all play the same. However, the overall quality of the reeds means that they are reasonably consistent with each other. I find that they play quite well initially and improve with playing after a few days.I'm pleased with these tenor reeds

Okay so very little sound difference compared to my normal Rico Royal 2, a little harder to get going, however, once you have broken your reed in I have noticed that it is more consistent than the RR. less variation and more stability, recently told these are more like a 2.5 rather than a 2 plus I play on a 6C MP from Yamaha.

These are what I use. They're consistent from reed to reed and box to box.
