I build bird houses and make other woodwork. Trying to use the miter saw for little projects was cumbersome; could not cut too small of pieces because your fingers were at risk, or they either broke when cutting or they would go flying, nowhere to be found. I bought this tool not knowing how it would work. My first intuition was it would be a waste and I would have to return it. I love it. It cuts small intricate pieces. Small dowels, small soft thin wood, works great. It was like cutting through butter. I highly recommend if you use it with small, thin soft wood, exp: Dollhouse pieces, small dowels etc.

I used these to make frame moldings on my walls using pvc molding. I think these are very user friendly, especially as someone who doesn't trust herself to use a saw! I really appreciate the simplicity of it and having the angles marked clearly making my project a breeze. The only downside was that the back of the blade is slightly thicker so some of my cuts didnt come together seamlessly and needed extra caulking to fill but it could definitely just be because of the pvc mater. Nonetheless, I will be using these quite often and it makes a great addition to my toolbag.

Awesome tool. However changing the blade is at least for me a little harder than the video shows. The ring inside the blade had to be removed with a punch tool because it was so tightly fitted to the blade. After that I had to use the punch tool to reset the ring inside the blade before I could tighten the blade down. That said, this is a great tool for quick easy trim work.

I can't believe how great this works!! I actually expected to have to return it. It just seems too good to be true that I can just snip each piece of trim as I go and not have to measure, mark it, take it to the garage to cut it and bring it back in the install it but it works perfectly!! We had PVC trim that was about .5 x .5 inch and it only took a fraction of the time to install it than it would have without this handy little tool! The angles were spot on. We had a couple weird spots and we were able to just line up the tool and cut them right there. I did see several reviews that mentioned how difficult it was to change the blades. I will say we haven't had to yet and we used it to install trim around the baseboards of a 1500 square foot house so the sharpness lasts quite awhile. Once we do change the blades I'll update my review with the difficulty in doing so.

I used this to cut 1/2in quarter-round molding for the kitchen and bathrooms. I couldn't have done it without this tool. I love that it also has a safety lock to avoid accidents....make sure you use it lol. I almost had an accident but God protected my wrist and I only got a small cut, these things are so sharp it could do some damage if you're not careful but man these are freakin epic at getting specific cuts. Looks goooooood :) 100% recommend them.

Very strong blades! I purchased a pair of ridgid cutters for quarter round. The ones it came with were awful however I loved the cutters themselves as it had an adjustable guide for angles. But the blade broke after a couple cuts. I ordered this to replace the weak blade and I am still using the first blade 7 houses later of install quarter round after installing LVP flooring. Blades are durable as heck and stay sharp for a long time

I purchased this miter cutter and was excited to finally get one. But after opening the package and discovering it wouldnt even cut a little piece of wood less than 1/8 inch thick and trying a few times it just would not cut no matter how much strength i used. I tried changing to a new blade, which was a MAJOR hassle, and took about an hour due to the fact that the nut that held it on was almost impossible to get off. Changing the blade DID NOT help one bit. It still did not cut. These miter shears arent made right or something. What a disappointment and returning them wasnt super easy for me either and stressful. But I got it done. Due to all of the things I experienced with the shears I gave them a 1 because there is no zero rating. Wird if caution I reccomend you not to buy these miter shears, they dont work...

Love the concept and made quick work of a lot of shoe moulding. But for the mitered corners, "quick" didn't equate to "accurate" without an extraordinary amount of extra care and manual finesse in positioning the material. Whereas the back of quarter-round has a sharp 90-degree edge and two flat surfaces that sit flat on the tool and against the rather short fence, most of the shoe moulding I've used has a chamfered 90 instead of a square 90, and that chamfer allows the shoe moulding to roll slightly while cutting it unless you eyeball it carefully to keep it upright--and the very short fence makes that a challenge. The result was quite a few inconsistent and gappy miters. About halfway through the prokect, I used this tool to quickly cut moulding to lenth or terminate where it didn;t meet another miter, then went back to the old standby (miter saw) when I wanted truly tight miters. Maybe more practice and developing a "touch" is the answer, but a taller fence might have been a better one. All in all though, a good concept.
