Tombow 82040 Fudenosuke Brush Pen, Twin Tip, Black/Gray Fudenosuke Brush Pen for Calligraphy and Art Drawings

i bought this dual hard tip brush pen as i’m new to calligraphy and brush lettering. not only is the pen easy to handle, but the opacity and smoothness of both the black and gray inks are unbelievable! i’ve seen reviews saying that the gray end lasts a shorter time than the black, but so far they’re both doing fine for me. one little thing that i noticed is sometimes, when i want to do thinner lines, the tips may make thicker lines than i would like. other than that, would recommend!

Also ways so fun and easy for quick sketches. I carry it with me always. The nibs act as a sort of brush tip with more control, the grey side is amazing for shading. One of my favorite ink tools.

Excellent brush pen! Everyone has their own style and requirements for writing tools, but I find these two nibs are perfection — not too soft and not too firm ( the gray nib is not really "hard" but has slightly less give than the black nib). The ink is smooth and opaque but you can definitely get sketchier looks depending on how you move the pen. Took a stab at some calligraphy and didn't do too badly and I'm a complete novice. I plan to use them for mixed media and art journaling, and I am super happy that I accidentally ordered two :-)

Tombow = Love. This is a brand that I don't have to try it first to know that it works well. I do lots of brush lettering and this pen is perfect. I can use the black side to write my word and WA-LAH, gray side to make a shadow. It's easy to make a simple word look like a finished product. All in one pen. This is the one I carry with me all the time in my bag for those 'emergency' items like envelopes, folder labels, or quick tags.I'm not easy on my products. I use it on the crappiest copy paper, the roughest kraft paper, and occasionally even wooden items. This pen and the Tombow Fudenosuke are good pens that handle my 'rough' usage well.

This pen was super nice and smooth and the variations between the hard and soft for black and gray (respectively) was really nice. I tried my friend's pen out before buying it to make sure that I would really use it, and it was definitely worth it. I'm totally going to be using this for bullet journaling.However, that said, the package did come about a week after the estimated time for delivery, and only after I emailed them. It still says that the package hasn't been delivered yet but that might just be a glitch in the Amazon website.

I love this pen, I love that it has the black and the gray together. It writes smooth and the lines adjust nicely with pressure! I love all the Tombow pens I've purchased so far!

This pen was recommended by a fellow calligrapher so I thought I'd give it a try! I really like the fact that it has a lighter gray color in the other to add shadow to my letters if I want to! Adds a nice touch!

Tombow always puts out excellent products and this is no exception. Nice small tip easy to be precise.

My name is Becky, and im a stationary addict.I recieved this pen less than an hour ago, and instantly my super beginner calligraphy attempts started to look half decent!!!! Its amazingly good value for money, and is worth every penny. I plan to buy more just because I always loose my pens, and its cheap enough to have spares!I am truely delighted with this pen. Its so good that I even had to make a review video to show it off!The tips genuinely do have that 'bounce back' thing when you press hard, I didnt think it would work or that it would be veng out of shape, but it actually goes back like its elastic! They feel strong and have sharp crisp lines too.These pens are definitly very good at sharp and clear edges, and can do thick and thin lines so much easier than thoes bulky brush pens. I tried them, but it didn't work for me. These pens do! The thick lines are about 3mm wide, and the thin are less than 1mm wide, so a perfect size for diary's and bullet journals etc.I have managed to draw with it whilst making a review video, so I definitly believe that anyone can use this pen to make some beautiful art work, or decorate notebooks.The pen has endless possibilities. Its definitly suitable for art journaling, calligraphy or hand lettering and it hasn't gone through to the other side AT ALL when writing 'tidy & cleaning day' as seen in my photo. It is not permanent, but pretty damn close. I put 2 drops of water on my word time, one I smudged, the other I didn't. See the photo above. The water droplet hasn't made the inkbleed at all. It just dried up leaving it completely intact! But the rubbing did smudge it abit. So, not permanent, as it cant write on plastic etc, but has very highly pigmented ink, decently smudge resistant and it dries almost instantly too. Excellent qualities for any pen fanatic.Its almost the same size as a normal pen, the caps both click closed and onto the other caps so they don't get lost. Light weight, just like an average felt tip of the same size. Now, I do have wonder how much ink it has inside, but for the price I will be buying 2 or 3 spares regardless.Very high quality, sturdy barrel, doesn't feel brittle so probably wouldn't break if you pressed on it by accident. Caps are also made of a sturdy plastic and not brittle.Highly recommend for beginners. My tutor is a professional calligrapher, and recommended her students to all get this pen... so I'm pretty sure they are used by professionals too.I definitly give it 5* Its a brilliant pen, and a brilliant price. Its strong, high quality and does the job. Its easy to use and is now an essential pen in my life.So I have to say, stop debating about if this pen is good enough for your project, it really is. Just buy it already and get your creativity flowing!

Es ideal para realizar caligrafía de tamaño mediano-pequeño. La punta gris va muy bien para sombrear los trazos principales. También es perfecto para ilustración. La flexibilidad de las puntas permite conseguir un trazo desigual y muy artístico. La dureza es grado 2 (Soft), pero si controlas bien la presión ejercida en la punta se pueden conseguir trazos realmente finos.El envío, perfecto. Llegó 1 semana antes del estimativo de Amazon.
