1D Desktop Barcode Scanner，Symcode Platform Omnidirectional Automatic Laser Barcode Scanner Reader

It worked fine for a while, but then we started noticing it was not scanning as well as it used to and became finicky. Then it started only working once every several scans but that was even a struggle. For what it cost, I should have definitely gotten a little more life out of it. Not worth the money.

The bar code reader arrived quickly and works fairly well.Occasionally it takes a bit of repositioning to get the scan accepted (just as you see with scanners in shops generally). It's quite comfortable in the hand and reasonably lightweight although I'm not using it all the time.The folded bit of paper which passes for a user manual is extremely minimal but adequate. It consists mostly of bar codes that you can scan to set up the reader (e.g. whether scans should be returned with an added Carriage Return or Line Feed character or whether the scanner should beep or not, scan continuously or only when the trigger is pressed etc.) There are more sophisticated set-ups too but no explanation as to what they do or why they might be required. You may have to refer to your application software to determine what setting you might need for the scanner.I found more useful information by searching on the internet as may of these scanners appear to have the same innards.It has scanned every type of bar code label I have tried (including ones that I generated with on-line bar code generators and printed on a laser printer). As far as the computer is concerned the scanner appears to be a keyboard and it generates the codes by simulating key presses. This means that you can scan bar codes into any text file or any application that accepts text.

This is a superior product at a very reasonable price. Our testing was successful from the start. No problems. We scan QR codes to verify entry card, and key tags barcodes. The Symcode support was excellent, with a reply in hours. Highly recommended.

Packed very well, in order to ensure that it will not be damaged during transportation.Just plug in and go. Excellent value for money.

Complete waste of time. Spent 2 hours trying to enable code39 on this device.The manual has no setup instructions and to get into "setup" mode it's challenging.After magically started scanning code39 barcodes, discovered that 1 out of 5 times successfully scanned.Also scanned half of the string in 2 instances.I do not recommend this device for someone that needs a reliable scanning device.

Esperaba que por ser láser, el escáner pudiera leer sin problema y más fácilmente los códigos de barras comparado con los escáners de pistola que uso actualmente, la verdad es que hace exactamente lo mismo que los otros cuyo precio es mucho menor. Lo devolví.

Deja de funcionar, hay q apagarlo un tiempo y luego tratar de q vuelva a leer códigos,
