Used it in college, now using it for the CPA.
I purchased this a few years ago when taking cost accounting in school and now as I prepare for the CPA I must say, this guide is still a fantastic companion. This subject can get pretty crazy considering there is tons of theory, costing methods, classifications, analysis etc... This outline cuts straight through the fluff.In short, each of the chapters are presented as follows a) brief explanation of the concept (typically a few paragraphs and bullet points) b) example/s of the concept c) various problems d) solutions.

Highly recommend Schaum's outline series in accounting
Wonderful addition to my class work in cost accounting. It is great to have example problems with answers included to know whether or not you are understanding the concepts involved in answering class questions.
