Very good value, nicely constructed, works as advertized.
Item was as described. This is the second Tarion softbox of this type I have purchased in 2025. Both are nicely constructed, and both have the very convenient Quick Release method of opening and closing the softbox. Those work well and make it easy and fast to deploy or close the softbox when done. The Bowens mount is lightweight, which is a plus. The grid and diffusion panels are all as expected and function as expected. The soft case for this 35" unit fits inside my 28" rolling travel luggage for easy transport, and the smaller 25" softbox will fit inside my 24" rolling luggage, and both are relatively thin (flat when in their soft cases) compared to another softbox (sold by Glow) I have that has a round Bowens mount style that will not fold flat (it remains more cylinder shaped when stowed in its bag. Overall, I am very pleased by the Tarion softboxes (25"/65cm and 35"/90cm) I have purchased. The pricing was very competitive too. I will not hesitate to buy another Tarion modifier when I need one. I do wish they had a 12" x 36" strip box.

the perfect big softbox.
this should be everyones first softbox. and also last big soft bog. it has every feature. good big size, quick setup in one movement, comes with a grid, folds flat. It has every feature for 80 bucks and its so worth it. Build quality is good and solid. It even comes with an adapter for flash. It does everything, THIS IS THE ONE. the only downside i can think of is that its pretty shallow so it wont have as soft light as a deeper box - not a big deal tho.

Great products
Folds up nice and compact. So far so good on durability after 6 months of use.

I like it.
I usually stick to Glow products, but I'm giving this a try. The build quality seems great and setting it up is as easy as advertised.

Once Assembled it Collapses Back in the Bag
One of the most important aspects of light modifiers like these, are whether or not it will go back into the carry case once it has been assembled. I'm happy to say that this one does! Even though it only took less than 10 minutes to flip through the manual (see notes on this later), deploy the Softbox, attach the reflector and Bowens mount... I like being able to keep all that attached for an even quicker setup next time I go to use it.In the pictures I've attached, I used this to replicate an overhead ceiling light. The practical usage here is being able to easily dial in the precise colors and brightness needed for your project. The half dome "Reverse Softbox" mimics the overhead lighting nicely adding a softer diffusion and even glow than before. Then of course you can further adjust the height/angle to your liking rather than being pinned to the restraints of the actual ceiling lights. There is hook and loop Velcro on both the inside rim and outside rim of the modifier. I used the inside rim to attach the reflector/black out fabric, and it fit perfectly. Perhaps the outside Velcro is meant to be used for flagging unwanted light? I believe this to be the case but couldn't find any information about it.Speaking of the instruction's manual... it was helpful for attaching the Bowens mount, but there are things in there unrelated to this product. I saw another review where they were expecting this to be like a normal Softbox which the instructions lend itself to be (it mentions inner diffusion and grids). I was aware when purchasing that this was a "Reverse Softbox" and so the normal instructions for a Softbox do not apply here. The only other thing that through me off a t first was how this looks once it's clipped into place. It is not perfectly round. It actually has a bit of a slant to it. I wasn't sure if this was a defect or by design, but I believe it is the latter. You can sort of see this is the listing pictures (I screenshot it with drawn lines). Everything holds together regardless, and the rods aren't shifted out of place or anything like that.Overall, I am satisfied with this product. After using a lantern Softbox in my studio environment for several months, I believe I was more susceptible to this design for a similar effect. This allows a little more customization over light spillage though and will serve well in the right scenarios. Also, when I tested this at my parents' house, my mother really liked it lol.

Great buy
This one works. For the diffusion size you get, it is relatively compact and I love it. Lightweight, super easy to set it up and break it down. Great buy so far.
