It rocks
Happy to report every TV in the house is now successfully tuned to the RF spectrum where one can catch the local ball game or still veg out to a day of Gilligan, The Monkeys, Married with Children or any other oldie on the air…. EwwwHome improvement (geek) projects are fun and a +4.5 decibel gain on each channel helped fix signal loss issues with multiple tvs in use. Using a single powered long range antenna and this 8 channel hub is the perfect solution. The Channel Master is awesome!

Good but pricey
I had a similar splitter with built in booster that went out. I wasn't going to buy this one because of the price. The old one I had was half the price but not available. There was a less expensive brand available, but shipping was 2 weeks, so I paid the difference and received this one the next day. I worked just as well as the previous one. I just hope it last as long or longer.

Worked beautifully with 6 TVs and long cable runs
I recently got rid of my cable company and switched to fiber internet with wireless streaming. After cancelling cable service, I had 6 perfectly good coax cable drops coming down from my old cable tv splitter in the attic. I replaced that splitter with this Channel Master distribution amp, and ran a 50’ coax cable to the antenna, without any kind of preamp between the antenna and this distribution amp. This successfully provided an antenna signal to all the TVs in the house. The reason I did this is because the FCC considers my county part of the NYC market and only allows cable and streaming companies to deliver NYC as my local news channels. NYC is completely irrelevant to most of us who live here. With this setup I can pull in all the channels that provide me with meaningful local news rather than having to watch all the mayhem in NYC. I was expecting some degree of signal loss because of the long cable runs and 30 year old coax cables, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the picture on all 6 TVs. This distribution amp worked flawlessly, even better than expected!

Well built unit
Good consruction,I was looking for a distribution splitter that would provide 1 in and 8 out without any degradation of the signal. This unit works great as long as I don’t plug it in, ie, power it on. If I apply power its signal boost of 4.5db overloads all my TVs because the incoming signal is strong to start with. This means I can avoid the only downside I see in this unit which is the use of a stiff coax as the connector from the plug-in power transformer to the unit. It’s hard enough to get all the cables positioned nicely without adding one more. An option to use a smaller more flexible power cord would be nice.
