Some tool
This is a well made tool and can be used for many different tasks around the garden and home,i've used it for clearing weeds between paving , edging the lawn and will be using it to lift ceramic floor tiles soon. It's robustly made and the blade has an edge to it so be careful.

If these things are done properly it's the perfect all rounder scraper and not a semi-finished product
A very heavy piece of scraper. I have the same experience as the previous reviewer, its "blade" was ~2 mm thick and the head was fixed by a rusty "baby" screw. When I buy an axe it arrives sharpened, or buy a scraper and it arrives with a very sharp blade with a warning notice to be careful. I don't think that for this price the customer should spend time to sharpen it because without it, its just a piece of metal sticked loosely on a piece of wood. I use other Roughneck products and this piece is not the same quality. If these things are done properly it's the perfect all rounder scraper and not a semi-finished product.

Post MEDIEVAL garden tool
It came in useful for rooting but it really needs to be sharpened to a finer angle and edge The weight is a bit daunting but I guess its main use is vertical for striking and pushing. Lifting it high or overhead is a bit exhausting after a few minutes. The only criticism I have is the way they fit the handle with a teeny screw to hold it in - banging the butt on a hard surface seats it tighter but to be sure I replaced the screw with a bigger roundhead one that goes right through the handle that way the blade can still be removed for sharpening . The blade protector is a bit of soft plastic. It got lost first day. I shall have to make a solid wooden tie on one that can be soaked in oil.

The shaft felt really weak from the start,
Hi I bought 2 off these items and both snapped, so that is why my rating is low,,I have friends who have bought these items from else were for a bit more money,and they still use them for the past 4 years,

Brilliant Tool
Brilliant tool. I was able to remove 12 sq metres of floor tiles in 3 hours standing up, most of them in 1 piece!

Great for so many things
Make sure you get this product and not various cheaper ones at the same price. For cutting scraping chopping they are brilliant. BUT IT MUST BE A ROUGHNECK stamped on the handle and blade. If not sent it back.
