Love this, works well and chops my onions small like i like them.

A great design improvement over my previous Williams Sonoma chopper. I only wish it had more sizes of cutters available. The insert to help clean the "fingers" is nice, too. I did purchase one of these where one of the blades had a manufacturing defect...check your blades when you get it.

Great easy to use

I admit I did not read the product dimensions but this thing is huge! Works great but takes up a lot of space.

We own, and have owned, a number of the Alligator-style onion choppers. And this one is the best we have ever had. Why? For one thing, the plastic screen makes it easier to clean than all the others. The screen pulls up all the chopping debris, leaving the array of knobs completely clean. After the screen dries off, it's easy to replace. Another great thing is that this tool also has a special section to finely dice garlic. Our garlic presses are annoying because scraps of garlic get pushed into the corners, being wasteful and also hard to clean. This one simply dices the garlic instead, in a very uniform and repeatable way. And of course the garlic cutter cleans just as easily as the onion chopper section.Some reviews suggest that people want to put some thick piece of onion on the chopper and muscle the cover closed. That is not how this tool works. It wants a slice of onion, around ¼" thick, a slice that fits entirely inside the cutting window. This tool will dice such a slice perfectly. But you still have to clean and slice the onion. If that's too much trouble for you, just chop the onion manually and don't try to short-cut the process by mis-using what is otherwise an excellently designed and useful tool. And don't try to cut other stuff, either. It's perfect for onion and garlic (and shallots) and should only be used for those veggies.

I used this to chop small chunks of mango, onion and tomatoes. Each time I chopped the fruit the blades would shift and cause the top not to close down to finish the chop. The plastic is also chipping and some pierces of plastic ended up in the chopped fruit.

Cut veggies in small pieces with a push of your hand. I love the area for garlic and the easy clean. Would highly recommend

Yesterday I made a big pot of chili for freezing servings for 2. Chopping onions for 4 cups needed was a breeze. And the chopper measures what is chopped. After the onions I chopped 2 green peppers for the chili. No need to clean in between. Finally, using the small chopper at the end , I minced several cloves of garlic—perfect! The garlic minced in the chopper was much easier and safer than using a knife. All this took about 15 minutes, and the chili was cooking. I put all parts of the chopper in the dishwasher too. This new version has a plastic mesh part that you remove to get the pieces left in the chopping action. Easy! This will get much use. This new one is sturdier too.
