Q: Does crucial p1 1tb 3d nand nvme pcie m.2 ssd - ct1000p1ssd8 works on this adapter?

I bought Crucial P1 NVMe PCIe M.2 CT1000P1SSD8 SSD from Amazon.de and this particular adapter from here. This combination works flawlessly on my 15-inch MacBook Pro 2015 model. The only a bit strange thing is that the reading speeds seem to be a bit slow. Write speeds are actually faster topping over 1.5 GB/s (vs. 1.45 GB/s) when tested with Blackmagic Disk Speed test or AJA System test (both are free downloads from Apple App Store). Hopefully this helps you.

I bought this to use with a Sabrent 1GB PCIe stick-SSD. I works well with my mid-2015 MacBook Pro 15". Push the adapter on to the end of the PCIe drive fully, then insert the contacts end into the MacBook Pro's logic board SSD connector. Press it in while keeping the drive as flat to the logic board as you can, until it is fully seated and the anchoring screw at the other end of the PCIe drive lines up with the screw hole. Re-insert the screw, and tighten snugly. Put the computer back panel back on, and use a flash drive 'new install' OS X boot drive to start the computer, format the disk with Disk Utility, and load OS X (I use Mojave, you must use at least High Sierra to work with PCIe drives). Reload the rest of your programs from a backup you did before starting; or reinstall your programs. The adapter and PCIe stick-drive work well, I get +2000Mb read and write speeds.

I did the same kind of upgrade with the same MacBook using this adapter and a Western Digital 1TB WD Blue SN570 NVMe and never experienced those infamous sleep/hibernation issues. Just make sure the drive is formatted correctly and if it still has issues it may be the drive itself.

Q: Will this adapter support sandisk ultra 1tb (sdssdh3n-1t00-g25)?

I’d assume it should. Since I verified my WesternDigital SN750 works fine with this adaptor. WesternDigital owns SanDisk thus uses their chips for SSDs
