Amazing blade but requires upkeep.
I am a chef at the Hilton El Conquistador hotel and I love this knife. It’s very good at keeping an edge and it’s weight allows it too cut tomato’s and salmon on its own. The only complaint I have is that it is a high carbon blade so buyers beware this blade is an upkeep you will need to buy special oils to keep this knife from rusting because it will rust very quickly after being used. If you are intrested in cooking and maintaing high carbon knives this knife is the best you could buy for coolness factor and for simple and effective results. I am familiar with this kind of upkeep as I do it for a living. But if your looking for something that’s low matinice go with a stainless steel blade. If your looking for outstanding sharpness and an over all amazing knife this blade is a highly recommended just do your research on high carbon knives before you make your purchase.

All-in-one kitchen saver with style!
It's got a nice weight to it, and it came nice and sharp, and visually, it's great. The sheath, the handle, and the pitted forged look give it a very nice aesthetic and could arguably be a decoration on it's own! Balance, I'm not so sure about it, but there's several ways you can hold it, and multiple ways you can use this blade, so maybe it's designed the way it is to deliberately be an all-purpose knife. It slices, it chops, even fillets like a dream. It's not RAZOR sharp like an exacto-knife, but out of the rather nice packaging it does everything you want it to no problem. There were some minor oddities in the edge's consistency itself, which gives an obvious clue it wasn't done by machine, which, in fact, makes me appreciate this blade even more, because I know it was done by hand, and I love that. The fat blade lets me smash lots of garlic or chop chives and shovel it up with ease. It is high carbon forged steel, so be sure to invest in a bit of mineral oil for cleanups and maintenance. I foresee sharpening on an Apex being kind of a pain, but I can see this holding it's edge well, and I've prepped three different meals on the first day of owning it with no issues, so I'm not worried about it!

Warped blade
The blade on the knife I received was severely warped. The knife is almost worthless to me unless I want to cut something into a “U” shape. Very disappointed.

Beautiful knife.
You can order this knife from the manufacturer's website but it takes longer to receive it. On their website you have the option of ordering the Kitchen knife (this one) or the Bushcraft knife, which is much thicker and heavier, like a cleaver.I didn't want to wait too long so I ordered the Kitchen knife and I am glad I did.Even though this is the thinner version, it is a big, heavy knife, more than adequate for anything I'll be using it for.

Sad it's not a true Almazan Kitchen knife
I truly thought I was buying a real Almazan Kitchen Knife. I'm sad that Amazon allows false titles and claims for people to sell an item as "Official, Original, or Authentic" without it being true. With that said I did receive the knife and it's a nice product. It's quite unfortunate they have to use the Almazan name to sell items when their own product is a good quality and could stand on its own. I'm happy with the knife and I enjoy using it.

Cheaply made knife and questionable vendor
Firstly, this knife is tremendously over priced. For a carbon steel knife to be this expensive, no matter what the quality, is already outrageous. I was excited to receive the knife, but was very disappointed. The leather sheath’s metal buttons were already rusty, the knife was covered in some sort of cheap grease which would not come off easily by just washing. The wood handle seems to be cheaply painted and the paint bled onto my hands and stayed for a whole day. The knife itself is sharp, but so are all my knives. The bevel is poorly ground with a sanding belt and looks as if no attention was given to making this knife aesthetically pleasing. When I purchased this knife I was thinking the quality would be something like my Gransfors Bruks wildlife hatchet, set at around the same price point. This hatchet is a hand made item, made with the highest quality carbon steel, expertly forged, sharpened and put together. The leather sheath is of very high quality. This is what one expects from a hand forged artisan blade. However, this knife looks as if it has been rushed through a cheap production line. I wonder if it has even been forged or has actually been made to look that way.So I sent the knife back for a refund, the vendor received the knife on 4/24/19, and as of 5/8/19, the vendor had not refunded my item nor had responded my emails. There are few things I like more than blades, and I own a pretty nice collection of all sorts of them. This knife is not even worth $20. Do not buy this!

Great all purpose camping knife!
This knife does it all! It is really a cleaver but works great as a kitchen knife if you don't mind that it is a little heavy. It also works great as a small versatile machete. It has a great edge! With a good sharpening stone you can do everything but shave. My only complaint is that the blade comes covered in a stinky motor oil which is there to protect it while it is in storage. The oil is not difficult to clean but I have not been able to remove the smell from the wooden handle. It has only been a few days. I am confident the smell will go away with time. Thanks for a cool original camping knife.

Love it!
Since I have been watching AlmazanKitchen I have been in love with this knife. It is kinda pricy but it's well worth it. It's very sharp, looks wicked and heavy. Perfect for cutting ANything! COmes with its own leather holster and packaging was great (perfect for a present). The only downfall for this is due to the material. It should not be left wet. You always need to oil it just like a cast iron. The hustle is worth the great knife for sure! Absolutely recommended.
