Works sometimes
It's a good product for the price. Issue with the particular gun I wanted to install it on it wouldn't fit. If placed to not be an obstruction on the stock tang, it would not clear with hammer in firing position. Luckily we had another gun with an OEM Marlin extension that requires less clearance. Put the OEM on the gun I bought this for. This hammer extension worked on the other gun because it had more clearance in the full cock position. Keep in mind it is recommended to drill a recess in your hammer for set screw. If you do that you can double stack the retaining screws. I placed a tiny drop of clear nail polish on set screw.

Fits under the scope allowing use of the hammer.
Without this add on you couldn't get your thumb on the hammer to cock the rifle. A must have on a scoped rifle.

Lots of Fitting Work
Though solid, it took a LOT!!! of file work and re-bluing to make this work my 1950's Marlin 336. And it took around 11+ days to arrive!!!

Fit fine.
Hammer extension fit fine. Installation instructions say to file a flat spot on the hammer for set screw, not happening. Seems to be secure, we'll see how it holds up. Uncle Mike's products are usually 👍👍 I think this will definitely serve its purpose.

allen wrench did not fit
You need to use the long end of the allen wrench to tighten the screw. The wrench was defective. Once I found a good wrench of the proper size, installation was completed.

Does not fit 336cr prior 1957
great product for sure. Just make sure you have the right model. My 336c is 1955 and it does not fit. Otherwise it is as expected. Great quality for the price.

Right year, right gun, still not fit
The dimensions are very important as even though it matched the year for my gun it did not match the hammer size

Great fit. Comes with hex and extra screw. Very easy to install. Allows easy access to the hammer with scope installed.

This part does not fit my 1957 Marlin 30-30 336 RC - it wouldn't even go on part way ...
