Plug-in Natural Gas Detector Explosive Gas, Propane, Methane, Butane, LPG, LNG Alarm with Digital Display

**Scroll to bottom for short version***Very happy with this, I smelt gas occasionally in my house when using the oven but it was inconsistent and wouldn't happen all the time. I rent and have a property manager who came and couldn't detect anything at the time or find the cause and he had the fire department come check as well and they also couldn't detect or find anything wrong at the time. I knew there was a leak as the smell would get quite bad at times so I got this and tested it both with a lighter as it recommends and by just letting the gas on the stove run for a quick second without igniting. It detected both immediately every time. At first after testing the stove it didn't seem to detect anything then later the same day when using the stove it started rising quickly after opening the door to check the food. After some more testing it went off consistently after the stove had heated and the pre-heat light went off and the door was opened confirming the leak! After googling and searching youtube and learning a little about how the stove worked i took off the bottom plate inside and was able to check the gas tube to see it had a series of clogged holes which i suspect prevented the holes further down the tube from igniting when the gas is turned down which happens after the oven full heats. After clearing the holes and testing and using the oven the detector hasn't gone up at all.Short Version - Extremely happy with this it confirmed a leak that seemed occasional and inconsistent that both my property manager and the fire department failed to detect. The problem was easily fixed it was just a matter or confirming it and knowing when it would happen to find the problem.

I have this plugged in next to my gas oven. One of the burners wasn’t lighting right away yet emitting gas. This product picked up on it right away.

Picks up the smallest amount. Will register on screen as 1, but will not beep as that is not in the danger level.

Would not repeatedly or reliably sense propane.

I bought 3 of these and they quickly pick up any natural gas leak. Installed one at parents kitchen since they have a stove that doesnt spark on at times.
