This kettle was ordered to replace a 2 year old one (standard type - from one of the well known brands).I was optimistic based on the good reviews that this kettle does have.However after testing it out, I found it to be slower and MUCH louder than my previous one.- The average speed to boil a max load (1.7L) was 3 minutes & 45 seconds.- Sound-wise it was similar to a jet engine taking off. I couldn't even have a conversation over it.Whilst it looks nice in the pictures, it doesn't look as nice in person and has a very cheap feel to it.It's not an awful product. It serves it's purpose and I'm sure it would suit some people fine.In our case it was returned, as it felt like a downgrade in all honesty.We will likely replace our old kettle with another well known brand one.

This must be the noisiest kettle in Christendom! However, it’s stylish, boils fast and is easy to clean. It’s also good value. I haven’t give it five stars because of the noise, but also the fact that the metal gets very hot - as you would expect - but I could find no warning of this.

Good product, easy to use & keep clean. Especially like the removable spout filter when cleaning /rinsing out the hard water build up daily basis as I need to. Once a week I boil it up & leave it over night with the leftovers of a lemon, bush it round & rinse it out & it comes out like new again. I also have confidence in this company that if I did have any problem as I have dealt with them before & been satisfied.

This is an attractive kettle, which pours well and does not drip.I have given it 4 stars because I can feel a puff of heat if it is fairly full and I hold the handle towards the top when pouring - so I just make sure to hold it further down.

Unfortunately the lid became faulty after only 6 months of use. I like the kettle and everything else on it was good though.However customer service by Puremate was excellent. A replacement was received the next day. Hopefully the lid won't develop a problem on this one.

Nice looking kettle but has it flaws;Pros;Looks goodNot too noisyBoils quicklyNeg;Biggest one... when boiling you can't go anywhere near the handle as steam jets out from lid and handle as much as the spout itself.The filter is very flimsy and hard to put back in, so an older person would have an issue here.The kettle was under protected by Amazon box turned up squashed.The steel top was so scratched I had to polish the marks off with chrome polishThe kettle had a witness mark from the polishing process where they pressed too hard and left a mark, almost like a dent in the steel.Base is very light and plasticky, so more annoyingly lifts up with the kettle and bounces on the work top.

Kettle is quite noisy, but fairly quick boiling. It's really difficult to see the fill level through the "easy view water window", which is very frustrating. However, it is quite sturdy and seems well made. Perhaps a bit of a rethink about the "water window" would be a good idea.

Nice-looking, easy to fill and empty, fast boiling. I find it a little too big/bulky for my small kitchen and a bit heavy.
