A Solid Pick for Knife Maintenance
I grabbed the KNIFE PIVOT LUBE Original Knife Oil (10ml) off Amazon to keep my pocket knives in top shape, and it’s been a pretty great addition to my EDC routine. I’m no knife expert, just a regular guy who carries a couple of folding knives for work and outdoor stuff, and this oil has made a noticeable difference. The bottle is tiny—10ml doesn’t sound like much, but a little goes a long way. The needle-point applicator is awesome for getting a drop or two exactly where it’s needed, like on the pivot or detent ball, without making a mess. I’ve used it on my Benchmade and a cheaper Civivi, and both open and close way smoother now. For example, my old Swiss Army knife was stiff and creaky, but after a couple of drops, it’s moving like it’s brand new. It’s not magic, though—if your knife’s action is junk to start with, it won’t fix that, but it definitely helps good knives feel great. The oil itself is synthetic, and it’s designed to keep dirt and grit from gumming up the works, which is nice for outdoor use. It also claims to prevent rust and wear, and so far, my blades look clean and corrosion-free after a few months of regular use. The scent is mild, almost unnoticeable, which I appreciate since some oils can smell like a mechanic’s shop. The bottle’s leak-proof cap is a lifesaver for tossing it in my pocket or bag without worrying about spills. On the downside, it’s a bit pricey for such a small bottle—around $15 when I bought it. Some folks on Amazon say cheaper oils like 3-In-1 work just as well, and I can see their point if you’re not picky. I also read a couple of reviews saying it’s not great for knives with ball bearings, but my knives have washers, and it’s worked fine for them. The bottle’s small size means I’ll probably need to reorder sooner than I’d like, especially since I’ve been using it on my multi-tool and scissors too.Overall, KPL Original does what it promises: smooths out knife action, protects the blade, and is easy to apply. If you’re into keeping your knives in good condition and don’t mind spending a bit for a quality product, it’s worth a shot. Just don’t expect miracles on super cheap or worn-out knives.

The best
Possibly the best knife oil I've ever used. Keeps everything moving smooth and keeps everything clean of debris

Exactly what I needed!
I've been cleaning (restoring is too fancy a word) my grandfather's pocketknife, and oil was my final step. This was the PERFECT product for what I needed. After a couple drops in the joint of each tool the action is so smooth, this really made a difference. Unless you have dozens of knives, this is probably a lifetime supply. After grandpa's, I oiled the half dozen others i have, bottle is still essentially full. String recommend.

Excellent
This stuff works great! After applying just a small amount to the hinge in my knife, it opens super smooth!

Didn't know I needed this until I had it.
This is the right way to lubricate a knife pivot. I was using mineral oil thinned with mineral spirits, and it worked fine, for a while. I only bought the KPL out of curiosity, and to get the needle-nozzle bottle it comes in.So I disassembled my edc, cleaned out the dirt and oil, and reassembled. Then I put a drop of kpl at each bearing, and where the lock-bar meets the blade. It works as good as my old oil (the action couldn't be any better), but it seems to stay put better. I didn't have to wipe away any excess oil, and there is still (after a week of use) a visible bead of oil near the lock bar.It doesn't just work well for pivots, but also any other places on the knife where metal slides against metal under pressure, such as lock-bar or lock face, or the detent ball, the dimple it rests in, and the track it rides. Lubricating these areas can help keep your detent snappy, your lock-up strong, and your action even smoother. It will also reduce wear on these areas from consistent usage (for those who like to fidget). This stuff stays in place so much better than other oils I've used. It works better on the non-pivot points than my other oils. As a bonus, it has almost no smell, and the light smell that it does have is actually pleasant. It seems pricey for a tiny bottle of oil, but consider these things:-It has a needle-nozzle for extremely accurate application (none wasted. I've oiled about 10 knives and the bottle still looks exactly the same)-It stays where you put it (long lasting).-It may actually help preserve the life of your knife parts. With these factors I expect this bottle to last a very long time, and save my knives some wear, so it was definitely worth it.

Probably the best you can get especially at this price
This is probably the best stuff that you can get. It’s easy to use and to apply and it should last you quite a long time as you need very little to actually achieve the desired effect.

Works fantastic
Used this on my automatic knife. It works fantastic for a knife that's known to have issues with the blade not locking when fully opened. A little bit goes a long way so keep that in mind. I lubed up my knife and it's been functioning flawlessly for the past month now. Way better than whatever you were using before, guaranteed.
