Cheap & simple
Takes the frustration away of having tension rods fall!

Works for shower rods
My shower rods would keep slipping whenever I touched it. With this affordable pole socket, I no longer have to worry. It is made out of plastic but it's strong to hold your rod. It needs only one screw. I screwed directly into the shower wall fiberglass with no issues. It'll hold strong.

Worked perfect
Worked great for what I needed it for, held the wood pole and didn’t break

Cheap and does the trick
The cheap adjustable closet rods that came with our house have been failing over time. They were the type that use a single screw into a rather fragile, plastic mount. You can't buy only the mounts, you have to buy the whole thing, and while cheap enough, it's wasteful. Since the screw was mounted in a piece of melamine shelving, we also needed to find an option that required a single screw to mount, and this was the only option we could find. While I dearly wish these were metal (it would have been worth the added price!), they are simple to install and seem to be doing the trick. Only time will tell how long-lasting they are. I bought a few spares to have on hand just in case.If anyone is going through this and wondering how we kept the closet rod from collapsing (it screwed into the original end bracket to keep it in place), just buy a wood dowel large enough to fill the bigger side of the two-piece adjustable rod system. It must NOT be able to fit inside the narrower bar!j The dowel will act as a "stop" to keep the smaller bar from retreating further into the big one, and the length you need to cut will depend uon the width you want the closet rod to be. You could also just screw the rod into the pole socket, but I personally didn't want to do anything that might weaken or add stress to it.

Seem a little flimsy
They hold a closet rod... what else is there to know? Only time will tell how long they last as they seem a little flimsy.

Works well for what I needed it for
We wanted to make a laundry station in our laundry room. We used a shower rod with these holders. We were able to use these to hang our laundry. The plastic is strong enough and worked well for our needs.

These are a bit cheap. Effective, but I'm waiting for a crash
These are a bit cheap. The actual problem is where the pole sits, as any amount of "full closet" feels like I'm just waiting until it cracks. Maybe it'll never be a problem, but it doesn't /feel/ good.
