It took a couple of tries, but made it work. The steps are very important to be in exact order. Plugs need to be installed in order and The red and green lights need to flash properly. There are plenty of videos to watch and some of the reviews give great advice on installation. One thing to mention is not to move fast when doing the key turns. Make sure you take a seconds to turn the key ignition into off - acc and run as written. Vehicle needs to read each movement. Know the steps before hand so it goes smoothly. I printed out a reviewers steps of process so it was directy in front of me to view. Lastly, make sure you tie the wiring up out of the way, but no so tight that it strains the conectors. Leave a little slack so you can remove the bottom plate as to not yank the harness when removing. When you download from computer to divice, you can change some of the set points to your liking also. I changed my run time from 15 min to 10 min. before auto shut down. Long idles can damage some engines, like the 5.7L Hemi.

Product works exactly as described. Worked on the first attempt to hook up and set up to my 2017 Ram 1500.Fantastic customer service. I had a wiring issue on my truck that fried my computer system and disrupted the remote start unit. Spoke to the Seller and they even shipped me a replacement unit free of charge! The replacement unit worked instantly and as seamlessly as the first unit. Great product and Seller. Will (and have!) recommend.

The media could not be loaded. I can’t believe how easy this was to install and program! Maybe 30 minutes from start to finish with programming.You do jump around in the instructions a bit, but it’s incredibly easy, just follow the instructions. Downloading the firmware was easy. Sign up, check your junk mail for activation email, activate account. Download what the book says to download. Works for Mac and windows.STEP BY STEP (2014 RAM 1500),1. Install new obd T-harness.2. Remove dash panel.3. Install “main T-harness” ignition harness to ignition.4. Connect main t-harness to new obd harness via the canbus connector.5. While connecting black connector to module, hold reset button, hold until red light flashes on module.6. Connect blue and white connectors to module.7. Close driver door.8. Open driver door.9. Press unlock multiple times on factory key fob until module LED flashes green.10. Turn Key to ON position and wait for LED on module to turn solid red. (I accidentally started mine, but it worked.)11. Turn key off12. Remove key13. Insert key and start vehicle.14. Wait for LED on module to flash green and remove key.15. Disconnect blue and white plug from module FIRST!16. Disconnect black module plug LAST.17. Head inside to flash module on computer. Go for a test drive!36-41 have to happen in that order every time you start the truck or the truck will go into anti-theft and shut off. I saw a lot of complaints about this, but I love it because it protects you as the owner!!Very simple! Pretty impressed with myself and you will be too! 😉

this unit uses KLON programing. ITS NOT PLUG AND PLAY!, Its not an easy setup. The USB sent was wobbly and kept disconnecting during flashing. I had to squeeze the end of the USB to make it tighter otherwise I wouldn't be able to finish flashing. It was not easy to clear everything to start over. If i wasn't somewhat capable this unit would be sent back.This is my second unit from startx, and the first one did not require klon programming, it was a lot easier.After all the troubles it works good now. Ill update after more time passes

If I could give half a star I would the programming is the dumbest thing ever it won’t flash properly and will not work the module keeps losing its program therefore will not flash properly. I sent it back thinking maybe the module just had a fluke got the second one in and still has done the same thing lost its program and will not flash properly. This is getting old. I like the system, I wanted to work, but there’s nowhere to watch a video on the programming. Nobody has had this issue and it’s getting old. There’s nowhere to call anyone to ask questions or nothing do not recommend.

I have a 2017 Ram 1500, and I have found this a literal bolt on unit. The wiring is complete, and the entire kit comes with everything you need to install. The need of a Windows or Apple based computer is required, as it is needed to install the final portion of tuning data. Following the instructions on the YouTube videos, makes this almost easy enough for a teenager to do it.
