Bought this to add 5 gHz connectivity to an old Netbook where I replaced Windows Starter with Linux Mint (Debbie). I'm no Linux wizard and the dongle came with easy instructions consisting of 7 lines of code to get it up and running, using the internal WiFi card until the driver for the dongle was compiled. The computer is still a junky old Netbook, but browses the internet faster than it had at 2.4 gHz, as fast as its underpowered little processor can go. No drops at 40 feet or so from the router, through interior walls.I'm also using the dongle in a Lenovo IdeaPad that is plagued by unstable 5 gHz connectivity associated with its Intel AX WiFi 6 internal card. The WiFi Nation device seems to connect with almost equal speed and is very stable. If there is a speed difference, its not very perceptible which suits me fine. Again, the install was easy. Plug it in, boot up the computer, choose WiFi2 instead of WiFi and off you go. No conflicts I can discern with the internal card still enabled. To switch machines, disconnect from WiFi, and stop the dongle to safely remove as you would any USB device. The only issue I have had so far is that the dongle is a really tight fit in the Lenovo USB port, but I put that on Lenovo.Wish I'd bought twoMarch 30, 2022: Like it so much I went back and bought second one!

It was a breeze to install. It allowed me to use the 5 MHz band of my mobile hotspot, which was a considerable improvement in performance. With this COVID stuff, I've had to endure meetings and training in a virtual setting. This helped a bunch!

Bought this adapter due to unstable link speeds on my laptops built-in wifi when operating it in Ubuntu. Setup was straight forward and only took a few min, speeds are stable and signal is great. This adapter does exactly what it claims. Also while you can download setup instructions from their webpage the device came with written instructions as well which was unexpected but very helpful.

I had another Bluetooth device but it was one that had an antenna that bends. That was not practical for my front USB port and eventually that one broke because it kept getting bumped. I did my research to find which one would be the best and this had great reviews. I love that it's just a simple little dongle that you plug in and immediately my signal was up and running. If you need a Wi-Fi dongle this is the one you should buy. I don't get anything for doing this. I'm not into peer reviewing and getting points. I just think it's a great product and you can trust every thing that I say is not based on anybody giving me things to review them. I just buy them and say what I think good or bad 😇😰 but this one gets five stars +in my opinion.

Adapter did not work at all with my Mac as advertised. No driver support available for any Mac OS system newer than OS 10. Ridiculous. Return process almost as expensive as the item. Very disappointed, and annoyed. Wouldn't recommend any product from this company as there is little support available. Complete waste of $30.

my old laptop the radio went south and got undependable. Best buy wanted $75 just to look at it and $125 to replace the inside wifi radio. this is a simple and inexpensive solution.

Works as described. Setupis as easy as plugging into your USB port!

I put this in my PC before I had Ethernet. While it still wasn't as good as Ethernet it did keep my ping a little more noticeably stable and I really appreciated it because I was going through some hard times. While I dont need this product anymore, the few dollars I spent on this back then helped me in the meantime.
