Works very well, but requires some care
The sealer is easy to use, but I have found one issue. I sealed a bunch of bags of precious coffee beans. This machine even sucked the air out of the factor-sealed bags. The bags were hard as bricks when it's done, and have stayed that way for the last week.I had no sealing failures until I got near the end of the roll. I found it very difficult to get the edge of the bag to lay completely flat over the vacuum tray because the bags want to curl too much. My solution is to have at least 2 inches of bag sticking out, and to use the pulse vacuum to manually get the process started. This way, you can quickly detect a wrinkle that is causing a leak and stop the process to fix it. Saves a lot of bags. Once partially evacuated manually, I push the" vacuum and seal" button to let the machine finish the process normally. Small things, like burger patties, do not seem to be any problem.Just to be sure, I tried Wevac and FoodSaver bags and had similar issues sealing the big bean bags. I'd give Anova a slight edge in ease of use over the bargain and $$ brands.

Anova Customer Service is Stellar!
My 20-month-old Anova vacuum sealer was starting to lose the vacuum in bags before it could be sealed. I would hear the vacuum escape with a faint squeal, and be ready to hit the cancel button. I used this machine heavily on a daily basis and figured the gasket might be worn out. Anova does not sell replacement gaskets, but generic vendors do. I contacted Anova to find out about gasket replacement. The service rep delved into the issue deeper and asked me to describe what was actually happening as I had a 2-year warranty which would expire in June, it's now March. He asked for photos of the unit, quickly determined to send me a new one, and sent me a prepaid UPS shipping label to return the old one. His response time was phenomenal. The only other companies that I have experienced this level of customer service was Waterpik (on at least 3 occasions) and Shokz headphones. Very impressive. I LOVE this vacuum sealer after being disappointed with 3 or 4 previous brands. It's reliability and performance has saved many groceries and preserved leftover and frozen foods. It's an excellent machine at a fair price.

The double heat seal is very good.
This works fantastic. The double heat seal is definitely worth getting. I've used this too mostly seal and freeze steaks. I would definitely buy it again

Problematic and Worst customer service ever. Stick with VacMaster
The sealer was finicky from the start. After using about once a week for a couple of months it would vacuum, then seal, and within a minute the seal would leak. We called Anova customer line, was directed to leave a recording for a call back. It took 3 days to get a call back which directed us to an online form. I believe a replacement heat bar would have fixed the problem, however Anova does not repair items or supply parts, your only option is replacement. We provided all the information requested, and then received an email requesting the information we had provided and a video of the unit not working. Provided that and were sent a shipping label, requiring us to send the item in before it would be replaced. After 3 days they closed our claim because they had not received verification of shipment. I have left 3 additional voicemails, which they only reply to with additional emails. I had requested a refund on return, due to the time and needing a functioning vacuum sealer. They have denied us a refund claiming we are ineligible because we purchased from a 3rd party (it was the Anova store on Amazon)I will never purchase ANY Anova product again and will ensure all my foodie friends are aware of the company's issues.

Good, could be better
When I needed a new vacuum sealer I was excited to give the Vacuum Sealer Pro a chance based on my experience with the Anova Sous Vide cookers. Other than my experience with the sous vide giving me confidence in the brand, I chose this because it specifically called out being able to seal a large number of bags in succession which is something my FoodSaver struggled with and in my limited usage so far it does deliver on that promise. I do have a few gripes though, none of which are deal breakers on their own or enough for me to return it but are things that cheapen the experience and I think would prevent me from buying another in the future especially at full price. The first is the thickness of the base makes it so I have to either cut way too much extra bag or prop up the bag on something like a cutting board so it can sit closer the opening otherwise you won't be able to get the bag into the unit far enough to get a good vacuum and seal.Second, the drip tray is not removable so when you do get any juices into the unit you cant clean it as easily as even the bottom tier vacuum sealers from other brands, this is a bit of a sanitary issue since you can't clean it as thoroughly as units with a removable tray.My final gripe is the lack of included accessory hose. It's such a small thing and Anova currently sells it for $7, this seems like something that should be included in a "pro" machine. It may be user error somehow, but I have an issue when running the "vacuum & seal" cycle, the bag will vacuum and it will switch to the seal stage but it never actually seals the bag and there are no signs on the bag that any heat was applied, rerunning the cycle resolves it, but it has happened 3 or 4 times in about 30 bags sealed. I will keep an eye on it to see if it continues to be a problem. It's not the end of the world but is something that shouldn't be happening. I also tried the included roll of material to ensure it wasn't some kind of compatibility issue with the third party bags I have been using and the same thing happened.I do highly recommend if you do buy this unit you buy basically any other brand of material. The bags/rolls are so severely overpriced compared to competitors and mine has worked with both FoodSaver and Kirkland signature bags without issue so far.Overall it is worth the current Amazon sale price of $99 but I don't recommend it at full price as it just doesn't elevate the experience over other brands you can buy for $100 or less. I also have a chamber sealer that is starting to act up and parts are no longer available for it, I was considering the anova chamber sealer but at this point I think I will look elsewhere.

Would buy again
Works well. But sealing of seam is very slow. But like double seal. Doesn’t take up much counter space

Works well
Just make sure there are no wrinkles through the seal or you will find air getting in after a day or two.
