Delightful compact radio
Watched a video on this and stunned at the versatility of this little box. Sound quality is good for such a small box but it's a PURE so no big surprise there. DAB and FM as expected the jewel in the crown is internet radio. Where DAB is intermittent internet radio comes to the rescue all major radio stations are there plus any from around the world. I tried a Brazilian station worked perfectly. Also has a podcast channel not used yet

Good for the price
The DAB was easy to set up using the wizard, and, with a bit of fiddling with the EQ, the sound is good.Bluetooth is a bit of a faff, will not automatically connect to my phone despite being paired. I have to go into BT set up on radio then connect from the phone. Works fine after that. The Internet radio mode is fantastic. So many stations! As others have mentioned, the UNDOK app works with this, so you can use your phone as a remote. This also makes searching for stations much easier.

Does what it says & easy to use
Great little Radio - does all the key radio reception methods in style. Fully logical & intuitive + easy to use. Great sound for a small radio too & an equalizer that makes a difference.Overall - I am most impressed.

Bedside radio that does everything
The PURE ELAN CONNECT+ seems to be the only reasonably priced fully featured radio you can use as a bedside alarm clock. Reception on airborn radio is increasingly tricky, so internet radio, so long as a strong WiFi signal is available works very well. The sound is not audiophile quality, but access to world radio stations without interference and with 2 alarms, easy to use sleep function and plenty of user presets across all bands, this is great value. Only downside is the non-dimmable, but full colour screen which is a little bright for sleeping. DAB and FM both function well on strong stations, but this is not guaranteed inside buildings or at distance from transmitters. Bass and treble, audio streaming quality and many other functions can be adjusted, and there is direct access to podcasts. Double the price will often not get so many useful features.

Faulty software and disappointing sound
Had high hopes for this but was utterly disappointed. After setting up (which was quite a pain) I selected a couple of stations from Portugal which worked fine although the sound quality even on a fast fibre connction was not particularly good via the speakers but ok on headphones.I then tried to select other European stations from the countries menu but this did not work and the system reset itself regularly, e.g. when asked to list German stations.Tried a factory reset and checked for software updates (system showed latest software installed) but nothing changed. So it went back the next day.Needless to say that I will not buy another 'Pure' product!

Slight UI niggles but overall a great buy, good on energy use
Very happy with it, wanted something for the desktop when working from home that also has Bluetooth for Teams calls (my webcam does the microphone). Really easy to set up internet radio, I used WPS and took seconds. Linking to my phone I was impressed that details of the YouTube video I was playing came up on the radio display. Sound quality is absolutely fine for what it is, a very compact radio, not unpleasant or tinny but obviously not really deep bass. NOTE ON POWER: The USB socket on the back says 5v 2.0A. I tested the current and at normal level it uses around a tenth this, rising to about 0.5A if you turn it up full and uncomfortably loud. So any 1A USB supply should be fine, and with current electricity prices it's good consumption is low. With the usb plug I use it is taking 0.9w on standby, 1.5w at a moderate level and around 3w turned up full. On battery, get decent NiMH rechargeables which could give up to 10 hours of use. It can drain a fair bit of current so alkaline not really suitable.Slight UI niggles, for example after listening to a podcast then going to DAB preset it still says Podcast at the top and the text information on the radio show isn't shown. Going to the menu with the 5 modes and reselecting DAB corrects this, hopefully a future update will rectify.
