Used to monitor rather than to switch
I got this to host the add on to add temperature monitoring to my boiler’s flow and return pipework. The wire in thermostats work fine. As my boiler is a simple 240v on or off system I added a sold state relay to pick up when the 240v is coming from the thermostats and configured this to pick up if it was being fed 240v on the switch connection. You can configure the function of the switch line to be ignored so that it only updates the device/software.I now have a Home assistant page set up that tells me when my boiler is firing its main burner. I will be adding a similar function to the heating and water valves and the pump and will be adding temperature monitoring to the pipes in the loft for the heating and water tanks so if they get too cold I can be advised and do something about it.Shelly products integrate with Home assistant very well so it makes it a synch to set up quite complex systems.

Amazing, Improvement from the last model
Great product, been using shelly for 3 years and now own 12 of them. They work when called and stay connected, as always with IOT devices if you want maximum reliability then your best setting a static address in your router (advanced for some) but its not necessary. Bluetooth option helps the connection process this time but if your used to old devices, it does exactly the same. They're cheap and my personal experience with longevity has exceeded my expectation. Only 1 unit has failed but that was my own doing for wiring up wrong.

Unreliable
Whilst the wifi performance is very good I wasn't able to get the relay to work reliably. I should really have returned it for a refund, but it ended up in the bin. I cant recommend it.
