Came with all the classic knifes. Cleaver (which is what I was looking for), larger and smaller bread knife, and the knife sharpener.The knifes are super sharp right out of the box with plastic on the tips.The block is made of wood. I'm worried the knifes will cut the block. But the block color is beautiful.Maybe a image on here that shows where the knifes go for each slot would help.It was more expensive then I wanted to pay, but I was looking for 6 different knifes and the cost of them by themselves will cost more then the whole block. It's heavy especially with all the knifes in it. And the knifes are good weight by themselves.

I was hesitant to buy this because some of the reviews I read complained that the stainless-steel blades would stain. I've not had that problem, but of course, I don't leave my dirty dishes in the sink overnight, so... One minor complaint I do have is that the knife block had some knicks and bruises on it like it was mishandled before packaging, but that wasn't a big deal for me, and I touched it-up with an artist brush and a little left-over cherry stain that I had in the garage. Good enough for my needs.

You get what you pay for in this. Knifes are great and complete any task needed for kitchen duty. Haven't had any issues running them threw our dish washer. As far as rusting don't leave them in soaking water and after cleaning just use a dish rag. (Normal basic care) I feel it was worth the price I paid for a everyday normal family use environment.

I was looking for a knife set in Kohl’s and target. I decided to see what was available through Amazon and found this little gem. They are very sharp, so be careful. They sit nicely in the corner of my kitchen counter.

I’m not a big fan of this set. It is a decent set but if you’re looking for a basic knife set to sit on your counter this isn’t it. The wood block finish is susceptible to gouges and scratching from the knives as well. The built in sharpener is in a weird place that requires you to take other knives out of the block to sharpen the one in your hand. There is some thing that just doesn’t feel right when they are in your hand. Maybe the weight, balance, or width of the handles. Before getting these check on some other sets first.

Lost a couple leaves but love it

I had been researching knife sets for a while. Purchased a set from another retailer for more money and LESS knives. I happened upon these knives by chance and decided to order. The block is solid and a beautiful color. Love the built in knife sharpener. These knives cut extremely well and I love that it came with 8 steak knives instead of 6.*If you don't want them to rust, just follow the directions and don't leave them in standing water or in the dishwasher!!
