Q: What is the best sharpening stone for this knife

The angle from the factory is 12'. However the instructions recommend a 20' sharpening angle. Go figure. Water stones are standard. Natural stones are very expensive. Diamond stones get filled in with filing dust. Knife sharpening is an art. If you have the skill the type of stone won't make much difference. My recommendation is to use a diamond encrusted steel to keep the edge honed. Stroke away from the blade to tune it up. The steel is pretty hard and the edge from the factory is very sharp. It should stay that way for a long time with typical home use. Consider having it sharpened and polished by a professional. You might have to sharpen twice a year. I've had this knife for a few months and love it. In fact I just purchased the 8" version. I especially like the comfort of the handle. No sharp edges to cut into one's hand. It is reasonably priced and a good value. This one is a keeper and a good deal!

For we use 10CR15CoMov Damascus steel as the material of the blade, which is anti-rust and anti-corrosion. There are several small tips in daily use, we recommend not to cut hard food such as frozen food or animal bones. It's better to be cleaned with water and a non-abrasive detergent, and wipe it with a soft towel. Please do not use a dishwasher.
