I recently got my hands on the VLINKER BM+ Bluetooth OBD2 Code Reader, and I must say, it's been a game-changer for me. Excellent product wish I had bought one sooner, BMW charge £100 plus £200 for the Technicians time to read your Fault Codes, with this unit and Bimmerlink Software and using your iPad or Phone you can read all the fault codes for the cost of £45 for this unit and £35 for the Bimmerlink Licence and you have all you need for the future as it is a good idea to read your Fault Codes every couple of months just to stay ahead and get any issues corrected.My issue was the Telematics unit and this unit along with Bimmerlink found the Telematics unit had a Short Circuit in the electronics and needed a new Telematics unit, BMW Cost to replace and programme the new unit £2500 + vat, I got one on E Bay for £200 and paid Zed Coding £70 to code it and all good as new I also replaced the Backup Battery in the replacement Telematics as the existing battery was 8 years old and even though it was still good 8.1 Volts, the replacement jub was so much hassle it was better to replace it at a cost of £63 for a new Backup Battery so total cost for the whole job was £313 instead of £2500 +vat.

Nice unit, compact, well built and works perfectly for coding my BMW's via Bimmercode and diagnostics via Bimmerlink. Does also work with some other free diagnostic apps on Apple IOS.Obviously, you need to buy the accompanying Bimmercode / Bimmerlink software so can work out quite expensive but this is nothing to do with the item I purchased which works as it should.

Worked perfectly with the Bimmercode app

The VLINKER BM+ is a Bluetooth reader for BMW and Minis which I used with BimmerCode and BimmerLink software. I'm sure it would work with other similar apps as well but it is worth checking beforehand.The device connects without issues and does exactly what it is supposed to do, at a decent speed.My only grumble is with the price - you will still require software to get it to do anything. A look around the internet might find better prices but without the superfast delivery that Amazon offers.

Works really well with bimmer code. You will need to download the updater app to make it work but once that is done, it’s perfect.
