It’s a really high quality item. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s something that you’ll only buy one time-so just get this one because it works. The magnetic base sticks well, and it’s very accurate. Excellent for setting up anything where you are looking for high precision.

The first one of these I got didn't light up all the numbers properly and would for example display '1' instead of '4'. I thought this might be a battery issue but as it looked like getting to the batteries could invalidate the warranty I reported the issue as it was and a replacement was sent next day.I've just tried the replacement and that would light up the display for about half a second before switching off again.So I thought I'd ignore the warranty and remove the back of the device and inside were 2xAAA batteries. I checked the first one and it was okay, but the second one was completely flat. I replaced both with Duracell batteries and now the device works fine, so if anyone else has the same problem, it's probably the batteries and you can get to them by removing the three small screws on the back.Once I'd got it working, it's not a bad piece of kit, the display is clear and easy to read and there's literally no setup required. Zero the meter on your tools flat portion and then stick the meter to the blade (it's magnetic).I can't say exactly how accurate it is, a table saw blade that was supposed to be at 90° read as being 89.9° and when the saw was set to 45° the meter read 45°, so that looks to be pretty close. A nearby Mitre Saw that should have been 90° read as 89.3° though.As I only have the one meter it's impossible to say if the meter or blade is off, my guess would be the blades though as they move.If I were to get another I think I would get a different model just to see if another is any better, but overall it's not bad once I'd worked out the battery issues.

I really liked this product and wanted it to work properly but two things spoiled it for me and eventually I had to return it. One disappointment was that whilst the stated accuracy was +/- 0.2 degrees the gauge was actually on the limit of that when compared to my Bosch and Stabila digital levels. It was also somewhat inconsistent in that after zeroing on a flat surface then turning it on its side, it would read 89.98 degrees or 89.97. Up to 45° it was spot on with my other gauges but after that it was out. I could have lived with that but the other issue I had was that it frequently would not turn on. I tried new batteries and it made no difference. Sometimes you could switch it in and off all day and the day after it wouldn't power up until you removed and replaced the batteries. Very odd and very frustrating. Amazon were very good as usual and I received a full refund. A real shame as I really wanted it to work.
