I’ve been using the same noise machine for over a decade. I’m very particular about noise machines because Im a very light sleeper and the noise must be perfect. For the past year or so, the old machine was making crackling noises, so I bought this new one to replace it. It’s different than the old one, but in a good way! The power button is a simple push instead of a push and hold for 3 seconds. The indicator light can be turned off (which the old one couldn’t do, you could light a stadium with that thing). There are so many sounds to choose from, most of which are laughable, but I only use the plain white noise, or whatever it’s called, to sleep. The volume is GREAT because I don’t have to feel around in the dark trying to find the volume up and down buttons (and hoping you don’t hit the snooze button), it’s a knob right in the middle that turns smoothly, and there is a wide range of volume, rather than jumping between 5 and 6, the difference of which being stark, trying to find the sweet spot. I’ve been using this for a few months now and it’s been quite satisfying. I’ll have to re-review this in another decade. See you in 2035!

I really like this noise machine. I have tinnitus so it's hard for me to go to sleep in a silent room. I have two others that I've had for a few years and like, but this is superior for a few reasons. It has a larger variety of sounds- even different qualities within the same type, i.e., different wave sounds, different bubbling brook sounds, etc. My other machines only have five or six sounds. It has a simple push button that turns it on and off; one of my other machines has a button, but I have to hold it down for a few seconds before it works. This machine has a knob for volume, so you can set it exactly where you want the sound; one of my others has buttons that move the volume up or down in steps, so it never has the exact volume I want! It also has settings to have it automatically shut off after a set time, but I leave mine on all night. I highly recommend this device.

This is one of the best sound machines that I've owned. It gets pretty darned loud and functions well. The only change I would make is putting the power button away from the button that controls the duration as to how long the unit stays on. You can set it to stay on all the time, but once you hit the button, it changes the setting and then you have to change it back to being on all the time. This happens when attempting to turn the unit off, I will mistakenly hit the duration button and have to set it back to being on all the time. It's a minor gripe. So minor, that I bought a second one so I can play my brown noise in stereo:)

I love this sound machine. With the variety of sounds there is something for everyone. It is small, light weight and fits easily on a nightstand. It would be easy to travel with. Great value for a high qualiy product. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the length of the cord, it's about 36" inches, so you can't be too far from an electrical outlet.

This is a surprisingly powerful little unit and very effective. Volume need not be at the highest level to block out street noise, which is intense at times in my city neighborhood. The best white noise this unit produces (IMHO) is the sound of waves lapping a shore. I have never before used such a white noise machine, my old one has basically one "whooshing" sound, also effective. The waves vary in loudness, with lulls and soft crashes. The unit is nearly invisible during the daytime when not in use.

Great little white noise machine. Small enough to pack in a bag to use during travel. This unit plugs in either to a usb port or with a regular plug. It has several different noises including nature sounds. I also like that you can control the volume and it has a timer setting or the option to just run until stopped.

Exactly what we were hoping for. It has volume control, several sounds to choose from, and settings to leave it on all the time or turn it off after a while. And it doesn't take up much room on the night stand. We are now sleeping well through the night with the aid of this. Thank you.

Closest sound i could find to match my sons brown bear noise. And it has an adjustable volume you can play all night. Just use a tiny piece of black tape and seal the light, then your all set!
