I like this self tanner. It is definitely more a lighter tan and does gradually increase color the next 2-3 days. It is a lotion, so can be streaky looking if not applied well. The smell is great (Rosewood). No self tanner smell at all. Would purchase again. Great if you just want a little bit of color to take away the pale.

I’ve tried many products but this is my go to. I put the lotion on at night and wash it off in the morning. No residue on clothing or sheets. I like the feeling of the lotion.

Love this product so much! I am a natural, VERY fair redhead and I have tried numerous self tanners, most of which leave me with an orangey color or with a terrible/super noticeable scent. This product has a decent smell and the best part is it doesn't look like tanner at all, just me with a natural sunkissed glow. I personally like the deep version the best to achieve this. Disclaimer, the product does go on clear which can be a deterrent to some, but I promise if you follow the directions, lotion your more susceptible areas, ie wrists, elbows, knees, etc. you will get such a gorgeous effortless looking color! I have other lux unfiltered products and they are all 10/10. You definitely get what you pay for with this brand and it is very apparent that they care about producing the best, highest quality products possible.

Love the product; hate both fragrances! It is a gradual self tanner but does produce good light color after only one application. It dries pretty fast so you’re not sticky all day. Just make sure you rub it in very well in circular motion and you shouldn’t be streaky at all. One application in the dead of winter and I’m still not “tan” but gives me a enough color that I feel so much better and less pale! The only negative besides the price being a bit high, is the smell! I have tried both fragrances and absolutely hate them both! I would love to see them do a lighter fresh/clean fragrance as both of these are very strong upon application! I put it on in the morning and the smell does fade somewhat throughout the day and then I shower it off before bed.i cannot sleep in self tanners as they smell so bad and make me hot and sticky. I do continue to repurchase just not as fast as I would if fragrance options were better!

As with any self tanning product, there is a bit of a learning curve. You have to really rub it in well and make sure you are doing it evenly, otherwise you will get streaks. But once you have it down, it's the most beautiful natural color. It lasts a couple of days and removes well with exfoliation.

Not very impressed by this product. As someone who has tried many self tanning products, this product although pricey seemed so promising. I finally splurged and bought the lotion with the highest hopes that I too would finally find the perfect self tanning product after years of searching. But it was not as I had hoped after all. The product went on a little uneven, it faded in patches, and the overall color was not the natural glow I had read so much about. Not to mention it absolutely transferred into my garments even though I waited until it was fully dry. Maybe it has worked better for other people, but for me not so much.

I know this review will hold little weight bc I didn’t include photos—which I would’ve if I had a moment to write this review sooner—but this tanning lotion SUCKS. I’ve tried many. I applied this with my mitt and even though the directions don’t require, I always opt for the mitt bc when I do it with my hands it’s streaky. The lotion took forever to dry. Once it did, it transferred to my towel— which wasn’t too bad, but the weird thing is is the smell was left behind on everything I wore and my sheets in the few days after. The next day I noticed that my feet were all blotchy, there was a huge weird mark on my thoughts, and the crevices behind my ankles were splotchy. The smell was really the worst part of it all, tbh. I’ve had better experiences with $5 tanning lotions. Don’t waste your money! Idk what the other people with the good reviews are doing differently, but I’m not a newbie and I hate this!!!

I've tried so many tanners, from cheap to extremely expensive and I love this product. I just quit my membership at the local spray-tan salon, so I have been looking for something that felt safe. I got no streaks and a really nice color from this lotion. I put it on twice and was satisfied with my skin tone enough to use regular lotion for a few days before going back to use the Lux again. If you know what you're doing and aren't slathering yourself silly, I'm sure you'll be happy with the results.
