Ok, first tip: lay a tray or towel down on your counter before starting. If you set your applicator down at some point during the process you will be cleaning dye off your countertop. Just a guess. I would never ever have done such a thing. LolI was applying to myself and found the under eye shields not helpful. In fact, they shift a bit and I had to stop because it was causing the dye to get into my eye. That did burn just a little bit. Not terrible but I removed the shield and switched to the mascara wand. That made the process incredibly easy.I have an unfortunate reaction to mascara with nickel in it. Also unfortunate, I haven't found a mascara without it. Where has this lash dye been my whole life? The results aren't false eyelash or lash extension crazy, but they are really good and natural looking. Just be sure to prep correctly and be patient. My guess is that the effects will increase with each application the same way as with hair color. Except lashes fall out like every 6 weeks or something like that.Follow the instructions.Keep a saline bottle handy to rinse your eyes just in case.There is enough to do multiple applications.If you already have really dark eyelashes, this probably isn't for you. It doesn't make lashes thicker or longer. Just darkens what you already have.Adios mascara!

Directions aren’t the greatest so I just YouTubed eyelash tinting and it was super easy. A little goes a long way and to remove the tint, I just carefully used a small piece of a make up removing wipe. I also used a lash lift kit. My left eye are the after results of the last tint and lift and my right is before. Love how natural both the tint and lift looks.

I bought this to darken my lashes despite the product having relatively few detailed reviews and figured I should give all the DIY lash girlies the 411- because this product is sorely lacking in information.First of all, I have very little experience with lash tinting/dying myself, though I've been dying hair for about a decade now so I'm familiar with the principals. That being said, this set is IDEAL for beginners. It was super simple and easy to use- you mix the tint and developer with a 1:1 ratio in the little spoon they provided (which is a little unlike other lash tinting kits I'm familiar with as it's usually a two step application process), let it develop for a few minutes in the bowl, and then apply it to your lashes using the spoolies they include in the kit. I was incredibly careful not to get it on my actual waterline because I had read reviews saying there was some mild to severe burning, though I did not find that to be the case. It burned a little when it came time to rinse off the product, but that was expected because I had also loaded vaseline onto my eyelid to prevent staining and that, naturally, doesn't feel great in your eyeball. I also saw it was recommended to do one eye at a time, but I didn't find that to be necessary either- I did both at the same time and kept my eyes open and it wasn't a problem.After applying the tint, the package recommends letting it set for about eight minutes, though I'm a brunette and I wanted extra dark, extra long-lasting color so I left it for about twelve minutes. It does stain skin if you're not careful, and it is not easy to get off. As far as lash color goes, I'd say it's pretty decent. They're definitely black and it colored the roots and tips of my lashes like I wanted. Which is great! I would say the downside of this product is the instructions are barely there (two sentences on the box) and not super helpful if you aren't already familiar with the basics of lash tinting. So that's annoying. But the color is good, and I'll update again later to speak on the longevity.In short: good coloring, questionable longevity, little to no burning, and easy application even without instructions. There's enough in the box to last me probably about 8+ lash tints, so it's good value for money.Pro-tip: curl your lashes before applying! Makes it so much easier to see where the color is depositing and allows you to do both eyes at once, keeping them open.

I am a blonde and have blonde lashes and light eyebrows. I read every single review because I was terrified to do anything to my lashes. What if they fell out? What if it got in my eyes and caused long term issues? After reading all of the reviews I decided I could do it. From the reviews I did what was posted from 5 star reviews. I mixed the tint and developer and let it sit while I prepped my eyes. I put Vaseline on top and bottom lids and around eyebrows so I didn’t dye my skin. I used a toothpick to stir the mixture in the little spoon. It only takes a tiny amount at a 1 to 1 ratio - equal parts tint and developer. I also used q-tips to clean up around the eyes. I set a 7 min timer (leaving me a few minutes to get the dye on my lashes) and then closed my eyes and used the little included spoolie (mascara wand thing) and turned the spoolie on my lashes while my eyes were closed. ZERO STING, zero fumes like some stated in reviews and I have very sensitive eyes. I stayed in my bathroom and just did arm circles and kept my eyes closed - very important part. Then I just grabbed my prepared cloth and wiped everything clean with my soft face cloth. When I looked in the mirror I was stunned!! It looked like I had mascara on and my lashes were best I’ve ever seen them! So good I decided to dye my brows. I was afraid black would be too shocking on brows so I decided to only put the dye on brows for 2 min instead of the 5+ the company recommended. I guess it dyes really quickly because my brows are black but I love my new look! I have been telling all my friends and I just did the same tint on my friend and she loves it too! I like what she said when she saw my brows and lashes. She said “you look really polished and finished” and my morning routine is so fast now!! I teach Pilates, barre, spin and yoga and most of the time my mascara runs or smudges at some point during the day. I no longer have to worry about that and I am so so glad. I will be doing this every three or four weeks or however, long it last. I will try to update this to let you know how long it lasts. But I am so impressed - no stinging, no pain, super easy, and it works just like it says!
