So easy! I installed three Door Buddies within 20 minutes on a Saturday morning on one cup of coffee while still in my pajamas and slippers. My older dogs getting into the litter boxes was annoying, but when I caught our 3-month-old puppy in a box, I knew it had to stop. On top of that, I recently realized that the litter pellets I use do not decompose in our doggie septic tank, so over time, that would be a problem. The only glitch we have is a temporary one. I set the Door Buddies on the narrowest setting. Both of my cats can pass through, even my 15 pounder, but so can the puppy. Sadly, this is a temporary problem that should resolve in a few weeks.Prior to finding Door Buddy, I was looking at closing/locking cat doors for our interior doors. While they were cute, I didn't like the idea of bending all the way down to floor level to set the doors. Also, reviews were sketchy in regard to installing on hollow doors and withstanding a determined dog. I also wasn't sure which size to get due to the larger cat, and the idea if having to remove a small door and replace with a larger didn't seem appealing.Glad Door Buddy came up in my search!

The best thing ever. I have purchased about 10 baby gates to keep the dog away from the cats food and water and every time I had an issue. Me and my daughter have tripped, my puppy has chewed, gates have gotten knocked over and have taken up too much of the walkway. So when I saw this I was intrigued. I’m SO glad I bought this. It is easy to get in and out of the room. It isn’t a hazard in the hallway and allows the cat easy in and out of the room while keeping the dog from getting through.

We just adopted two kittens and we already have two dogs, a pug and a beagel terrier mix. We wanted someplace quiet for the kittens to get acclimated to our house and somewhere that we could put their food and litter box to keep our dogs out of them. This Door Buddy Door Prop is very easy to install and works perfectly. It lets the kittens in and out of the room whenever they choose and keeps the dogs out. You can also shut the door completely, if needed without removing the door buddy.

Truly a great product. Would be 5 stars but a drawback is the opening. I have 1 elderly overweight cat that has difficulty squeezing through the opening. I believe the belt latch model has a wider opening but my dog can bust through - only sticky tape. Hopefully they make an XL version of this more solid, stable model someday. Good for my smaller cat but my chonk sometimes gives up when he can't get to the litter box.

Fantastic! I was on the fence about cutting a hole for our new cats or propping the door open, but with kids here, it’s iffy if someone will close it or not. Then I found this! It took me about 2 minutes to install and set and I haven’t looked back. So easy for anyone to use, the quality is great too! It fit my existing holes perfectly. The door closes easily and opens even better. And when or if we decide to change to a cat door, all I have to remove is two screws from existing holes

This is exactly what I was looking for and wish I invented it. Keeps door open for cat but keeps my dog out. You can lock the door and it won’t open to keep kids out or you can fully close door without removing this product. I would pay 3 times the price I paid because this product is way above expectations

We just installed this yesterday but it seems to be exactly what we've been looking for. We like to sleep with our door only propped open just enough for the cat and have been fighting doorstops quite some time trying to find something that works when one of enters or exits the room. This was easy to install and leaves just the right amount of space for my cat to go in and out silently. I highly recommend.

Excellent!!! We needed something to keep our dogs out of the laundry room where we keep the litter boxes and this did just the trick. I originally purchased in Fall 2023 and the thing is finally wearing out after pretty consistent use, and I’m ready to buy another! Great product, great value.
