Great for nostalgic oldies
I was expecting this to be a complete failure on a modern 1080p HDMI monitor. Nothing of the sort. The graphics are crystal clear and it's a pleasure to play some of the old Atari 2600 games again - including Space Invaders. It's a shame the joystick controllers aren't cordless, but then, the original ones weren't anyway. Overall, I'm very impressed.

The most games Included with the thing wasn't playable
The most games Included with the thing wasn't playable - the many games didn't react to the controller others working but wasn't sure that they were finished product - nonsense or plainly stupid. Overall not enjoyable experience - I send it back and refund was issued by Amazon without any problems.

Great modern twist on the original woody
Loved the fact that they have retained the look and feel of the games ,only thing that disappoints is the lack of simple instructions for us golden oldies.

WORKS with the paddle set meant for 2600+/7800+
After having been gifted the Flashback 12 I was disappointed that there were no paddles included nor compatible, as my favourite game on the console was (and still is) Pong. Having been bitten by the bug I ordered the 7800+ shortly after, and in the same order the "4 in 1 Game Cartridge Plus Paddle Pack", as supposedly the 7800+ had the least lag compared to the 2600+ (for paddles). It turned out the Paddles worked very badly with the 7800+ (a lot of lag, sometimes very bad, sometimes a little better, but never great) and to my utter surprise much better with the Flashback 12 - I wasn't even aware these were compatible! So yeah, will send the (to me) useless 7800+ back and stick happily to the Flashback 12. No idea if that was down to a recent update or whatever, but that was my experience. Didn't check for tips and tricks, but I would expect that a new machine should be pretty up to date straight out of the box, and the Flashback 12 works just fine.

IT'S TERRIBLE.
This is a disappointment. Games are cloned and poorly emulated.
