E-flite UMX Conscendo BNF Basic EFLU32050

What a great little plane! It lives up to the hype. It flies great and is super easy to control. Flew it on a 2S battery first and it was awesome, but on a 3S battery, this thing rips!!! The only complaint I have is that the thumb screw to attach the wing to the fuselage was very tight and it took me about a half an hour to finally be able to turn the screw to attack the wing, I was afraid of breaking it.

One of the easiest and most fun to fly rc aircraft you can buy. Honestly, it's better than any trainer I have used. It's affordable, and small enough to fly in tight areas. Even if you run the battery down it glides for days. The fact that you can run 2s or 3s means you can fly mild or wild. In safe mode you can hand it almost anyone and it flies with ease and comfort. This should be your 1st aircraft.

Fly's fantastically, you wont be disappointed, can fly very fast or very slow. No downside (it would be nice if it were a little cheaper). I want more than one.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Pros: * Lots of speed & power from a 2s battery. 3s must be out of sight. * 10-15 real-world minutes of flight time on a 300mAh battery * It's entertaining to go straight vertical to altitude and then return home in glider mode. * Ditto riding the ground effect in glider mode and goosing the throttle periodically to keep it in the air. Cons: * The speed and power. This thing will go further faster than you expect. I almost lost my first one in low-hanging clouds the first day and lost it to a flyaway (bco my own poor judgement) a few days later. * It's not very durable. Maybe, along with the speed and power thing, this is more a reflection of my lacking sufficient skill. But my experience has been that the wing tends to break at the rear attachment point in minor crashes. Ditto the servos. I have 2 of these planes and, on one, the left airleron servo became inop after a minor crash. On the other, the right airleron servo and the rudder servo became inop after minor crashes. By "minor crash", I mean catching a wingtip in the grass while surfing the ground effect.

What an incredible UMX. I know why this is now considered the best UMX out there.Yes, it requires "assembly," but it only takes 30 seconds each time.On a 3S pack, this thing absolutely rips. Note that it's tail heavy, so if you're using a 2S pack, you'll need to add some weight to the nose. Even with a 3S, I use a lot of down elevator trim. My goal is to trim it so it glides stably and without oscillating at idle power. As a result, adding power results in a lot of pitch up moment. I will need to experiment with mixing in throttle with down elevator in order to counter this, but I haven't seen the need yet.It's incredibly maneuverable. Slowing it down for a hand catch takes some practice, but there's lots of opportunity to go around.Do not land on concrete surfaces or your front skid will be reduced to almost nothing in just 2 or 3 landings. Grass landings are the best.The agility is incredible.For the price, I have not found a more fun RC plane. It's no less fun than my Turbo Timber Evolution and can be flown in more places.

Cons:-The connector for the wing is not easy to remove tool-less. It has a locking latch that you have to squeeze to release it. Otherwise you need to use a pry tool to remove it.-The CG is still a bit aft even with the recommended 3S lipo all the way forward.-The prop is a bit flimsy compared to larger folding props. Maybe just a few accidental landings with power and the prop with start to break.Pros:-Optional flaperons and spoilerons. Makes it so much easier for landing/hand catching and getting down quickly.-The wing is removable. It makes it nice for storage or transport in tight spaces, just keep in mind the connector is difficult to remove without a pry tool.-The linkages for control surfaces are threaded. No more annoying u bend adjustments. It even comes with a small hex wrench to undue the balljoints.-This particular receiver has good transmitter compatibility with DSMX/DSM2 radios. It even worked on my very old DX4e transmitter.Overall, a very nice powered glider that provides relaxing slow flights or high speed aerobatics.

I was worried about my umx plane being crushed but I was wrong.Horizon hobby had put it in a cardboard box and so did Amazon.I and very happy and impressed by both companies.Noe I don't mind ordering more foam planes from this site.

I love this little airplane. Fly it fast or just float around hunting thermals. A really fun aircraft to fly. One of my top favorites. Small inexpensive battery. reliable electronics. SAFE mode for those just learning to fly RC or super stable flight on windy days. Did some slope gliding with it as well. A very serious aircraft.
