AeroGarden Harvest 2.0, Indoor Garden Hydroponic System with LED Grow Light, Holds up to 6 AeroGarden Pods, Cream

Got my first one as a gift, then purchased two more. I did have trouble with one being defective but I want to say I had a wonderful experience with Aerogarden replacing the unit. I've noticed that most of the negative comments are coming from people who have had an earlier iteration of the aerogarden. This was my first and I really like it. It's super easy to put together and use. The light and timer are activated by the censor on top the hood, no buttons. Also, it has a safety mechanism, if the water runs low it will shut off the lights and pump. SO, when you are setting up, fill it with water before assuming it doesn't work because the lights and pump aren't coming on. The directions need to be a little better even with it being simple. They drop off after explaining how to connect the power and pieces together. They should take you through the entire set up before going off on different topics.

This was my first try at hydroponics so I bought a six pod machine and tried the free lettuce seeds that came with it. Wow - after all my years of struggling to grow food indoors during the winter, I finally have healthy lettuce. It's FAST, takes up less space than a bunch of dirty pots, and I can't even hear the motor that keeps the water circulating in the base. It warns me when it needs more food, and it turns on and off by itself. As a bonus, I'm sure that full spectrum light will be healthy for ME during the dark winter months too. Sorry, rabbits, but I'm growing my lettuce indoors next summer.

I was suspicious from the get-go - package looked like it was re-taped & INDEED I received a 'repacked' Aero Garden. No instructions / booklet was included. Nor did it have the little clear cups included to put over the seedlings - thus acting as a greenhouse. I learned of this from ordering a set of plants for my Aerogarden. There is no way to control the 'automatic light timer', as it stays on for 12 + hours. And now there's a blinking red light on the top of the AeroGarden & no idea what that means!I GOT A DUD! Shame on Amazon for sending a REPACKED Aerogarden. How does one send it back after you've already started the process? How was I to know it was a TOTAL DUD until past the time allowed to return said items!!! WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!

So I have never planted anything in my life or done gardening whatsoever. So I chose this because it looked very user-friendly and easy. And it absolutely is! If you don’t know anything about gardening, and you don’t know where to start. I think this is great for you! I followed the super easy instructions And I have stuff coming up! I have owned this for almost a month and this last picture is what it looks like now! Within a few days, I saw sprouts and it came with some lettuce seeds. .(which is on the very left side.) I couldn’t see anywhere in the products where I knew what seeds came in the kit. So I am telling you that it is lettuce! It has an automatic light, so it just turns itself on, and then turns itself off. So far I have done hardly any maintenance on it. It has a little red light at the very top to remind me when to fill it with more water and more plant food. And it comes with the plant food which is great! And so I know exactly when I need to put more of that in and more water. Other than that, I just leave it alone and enjoy watching it grow! The little amount of dopamine I get every single time I see it grow more is so exciting to me! So I’m very excited to keep using this and it makes me want to grow more things! I honestly can’t say that there’s anything wrong with it.

No button to turn light on or off. Less quality than my first aero garden. I would still recommend this product. Make growing vegetables and herbs easygoing.

We are a household of tomato lovers. After taste testing several varieties last year, this year we’ve narrowed down to the True Black Brandywine beefsteak type, and a British cherry tomato favorite, Black Opal. I use the Aerogarden to give us a jump on the season every year.I’ve owned several types of Aerogardens over the past decade. Even though some had advanced Bluetooth features there was an element of hassle to each one.I already appreciate this one. From the time you plug it in this Aerogarden keeps the grow light on for 15 hours each day. I plugged mine in at 6 AM, so the light should remain on from 6 AM to 9 PM daily.Although the light is scheduled, I still have control. Briefly placing my finger on the light switch concealed between the leaf emblem and the “add plant food” reminder light on top of the grow light allows me to turn the light off and on manually.The tub is small and dishwasher safe on the top rack when it’s dissembled (see instruction manual for more). My other models didn’t have this feature. And what a feature it is! With other models I had to circulate a special cleaner in a full tank of water for 24 hrs to get rid of algae before replanting. With this one I just pop the tank in the dishwasher and this Aerogarden is ready for replanting as soon as the cycle is finished!It is sturdy, and, based on past experience with other models, I expect it to be reliable.Now for the downside: Correct me if I’m wrong, but I understand the Aerogarden division of Scott’s Miracle Grow is shutting down. Blurbs I’ve read say they will continue to support existing products, but for how long I can’t predict. You might want to buy extra supplies as a hedge against future shortages.This notwithstanding, all I can say is, for the price, this is a great little unit! Highly recommended.
