Love every bit about this product. You feel the quality and its solid metal not plastic wonky material. The light is bright and not dull. Easily moved around due to the size. Unfortunately it came popped open and light on but no worried cause it was easily recharged. It does have a very thin platform to sit on to be charged.

The only thing that would make this better is if it was a little brighter. I can't quite read comfortably with it. Other than that, I love it. It is so easy to switch on the light in the dark and it looks lovely on my night stand!

This lamp perfectly met my need for a smallish lamp on an end table that supports a fairly large Sonos speaker, and the concept of a pop-up lamp is terrific. But the lamp has some serious drawbacks. First, it uses a proprietary charging plate with a hard-wired white USB-A cable. Seriously, it's time for everyone to move to USB-C; USB-A is late 20th century tech. And the fact that it's hard-wired is especially annoying -- you're stuck with the built-in cable. This lamp should have had a USB-C port on the side. Next, while the lamp retains the color temperature set by the user, it always resets to 100% brightness each time you "pop-up" (or turn on) the lamp. What's even more annoying is that the brightness adjusts through a touch button on the bottom of the lamp instead of tapping the sides or the top of the lamp like most other portable lamps. Finally, and not that big a deal, the LEDs themselves aren't recessed enough and are visible unless you're pretty much standing above the lamps. So why a "reluctant three stars"? Because the concept and product design are terrific and outweigh the drawbacks. But if the tech aspects had been better, it would get five stars. I hope they make another version and fix some of these issues.

We saw these at our local art center used to illuminate a book shelf. They didn’t stock them so we ordered via Amazon. Very happy with the purchase, functionality and battery life.
