I did not notice an odor at first, but after a couple of hot days during which the temperature of the house got up to the low 80s while we were out, I opened the bottle and a rancid smell hit me. The bottle does say to keep away from heat. I think I will throw this one out, and refrigerate my next bottle.

I was not aware that the ingredients were different and have been using this brand for years and stand by the product but if your concern I would email the seller for concerns because they will answer your question.
