Q: What is the casing made of?

The casing for our pods is a biodegradable, water soluble film made of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). When the casing dissolves into microparticles and enters the water stream, as many as 55 species of micro-organisms (including bacteria, yeasts, and fungi) that are naturally present in water and soils fully break down the casing into water and carbon dioxide within one month!

Q: How many should be used for a large load of laundry in a he washing machine?

I only use 1dropp for each load. Dropps does not leave a strong scent, clothes just smell fresh.
