This kit is awesome! It has everything you need to safely test for mold. After 3-4 days I took photos of the samples still in the plastic bags so I wouldn’t be exposed to the mold growing. The lab was very fast in identifying the mold and wrote up a very informative PDF. Thank you so much! I will be buying more to retest after cleaning and treating my house.

These are Petrie dishes that you put around and expose to the air in various places to test to see if the area contains airborne mold. My control was putting one outdoors for 30 minutes and it grew multiple different kinds of mold, and thick! I was happy to see that none of my house air had mold. I also tested this at another location and it grew out the exact mold species that my lab test said I had a toxic level of in my body! Confirmation!The directions were unclear. What I did was label the logs then used scotch tape to close the lid tightly and I put them back in the box to sit for 2 to 3 days in room temperature. By the third day, the ones that were growing out something had enough of it that I could compare it to the color photos in the booklet to get my result.This was easy to use overallThis was easy to use overall

Excellent product and customer service. The test was easy to carry out with clear instructions. I was able to identify my mold type in my basement via pictures in the enclosed booklet. Just to be sure, I sent pics of 2 plates to the company’s provided email address, and in less than 24 hours received a complete report with my mold types and a complete description of the mold’s properties and potential harm to humans. Also with some suggestions of how to clean it and prevent future mold growth. I would highly recommend this company and will not hesitate to use them again.

Fast! I had low expectations, but this was great! Well-written instruction manual, more than enough sample plates. But the best part was the quick identification via email. I sent in pictures of the mold on a Sunday afternoon, and had results back right away! Great value, because my friends just paid $500 for an in-home mold test. And this was a much better first step. I do find it hard to identify the mold based only on the pictures in the manual, but emailing photos to the company is the way to go. I let it grow a couple more days because not much had grown in 3 days.
