This is a good quality sharpener. It looks really nice. It works really well. And you can get the different angles that you want on your knife by just turning it.

Typically I use a whole series of wet stones and it is a labor of love to keep my kitchen knives like razors but I don't have that kind of time on my hands. For the purposes of keeping your knives fairly sharp and to not have to mess with wet stones this is amazing. I'm a big fan of a 12 degree edge for fine knife work and this rocks it. The only thing I would change is being able to get replacement discs and having a larger variety of grit levels to not just sharpen but entirely re profile a blade edge. Even with just this though, your family too can be afraid to use your kitchen knives since most people may as well have 8 inch chef sized butter knives with how full they keep them.

I like having sharp kitchen knives. I have a sharpening stone, but it’s very difficult to find the exact angle to get the knife properly sharpened. I bought this sharpener because it offers multiple angles for different types of knives. The base has a magnet, so when you place the knife at the desired angle, it stays securely in place. All you have to do is slide the sharpening stone (starting with the coarse grit and then the fine grit for finishing), which moves on wheels. It’s very easy and fast. I’m very happy with my purchase!

I've been using this for a few weeks now, and while it does sharpen the blade, the magnet on the angled knife holder isn't strong enough for some of the knives that I have. The handle seems to slip down while I'm trying to sharpen the knife. I am finding that I need to prop up the knife handle to keep it from slipping down and that I need to readjust the knife.

I will admit I am not a professional knife user. In fact I am scared of the sharpness of the knife. All of my knives are no that sharp to a point I have to sharpen them. I took the liberty to buy this due to its appearance! But this one works really well. I don't need to work hard at all to make the knives work again. I can decide how sharp I want the knives to be. Now I have super sharp (only used on super rare event), very sharp (more use than rare), sharp (daily use) knives. I am happy with the purchase.
