Doesn't last and doesn't work. (Four sensors - none good)
Great idea. Very motivational when it works.. That's the good news. The bad news. They aren't reliable and you may not be able to tell when they are spewing worthless/misleading readings.I bought this to track my progress at lowering blood glucose and learning about what spikes look like for me and wht causes them. I have a backup meter that I use that requires the finger-prick blood sample and I wanted a more continuous view.I had four of these devices.First one. Worked well for ten days. I periodically verified the reading with the hand-held meter and they agreed within normal parameters. But again, died on day 10.Second one. This came in a two-pack so I attempted to apply the second one. This one had a mechanical defect and would not apply.I wrote to Amazon and a replacement box was send about a week later.Third one. Worked well for 7 days and then just stopped. During that time the readings seemed to match my hand-held meter.Fourth one. I applied it and the readings were wrong from the beginning. I kept verifying, hoping that it would wake up but gave up 2 days later when it started giving such ridiculously low numbers that I contacted Stelo customer service. What a waste of time. I spent over 40 minutes giving details, after which they had me fill out forms to complain with the same data that I already gave them. Then I was informed that there would be a review process that would take days to determine if I was even eligible for replacements.I have an Android phone so I don't know how many other options I have but this is clearly not a solution.I highly recommend that you go someplace else until you stop seeing reviews like this!

Very helpful
This has been a helpful tool which has helped me loose 10lbs and lower my A1C by .1 so far. I’ve worn about 8 of these and haven’t had any major failures. Some skip some readings the last few days. I do compare readings with a finger prick and it’s usually very close or with in FDA approved accuracy range. But this is more a tool for watching trends and learning what food effect you and what doesn’t and give you an idea of where your are throughout the day and night. I do prefer this one over the Lingo mainly because of the apps for this one and it will communicate fully with health apps where Lingo will only log exercise. I can also get my readings on my watch and phone Home Screen which I could not with Lingo.Cost: compare the cost of your strips if you were to test first thing in the morning, before a meal and 2 hours after for each meal. Then do the math and you will see that this costs around the same as using that many strips a day. For the strips I use, it’s actually cheaper. Plus this will give you the full picture (such as exercise drops or stress spikes), not just the glimpse the strips give. But keep in mind that you’ll still want to check highs, lows and fasting occasionally with strips.Scares of needles? ME TOO! I panic for each one but as long as you let the alcohol dry, it has been painless. Just a scary clicking noise and me releasing the breath I was holding.

Extremely inaccurate & potentially dangerous
Simply put, the technology is not ready for deployment. This BGM does not function properly at all. The initial setup was relatively simple, then the connection failed continuously requiring multiple removals of the app and reinstallation over a 2-day period. When it was finally installed and operating the connection took an extremely long time, the BGM was carefully and properly attached yet the app did not want to pick up the connection. Following several frustrating hours a connection was finally made and recordings began. I used a traditional high grade finger prick BGM to assess the feedback provided by this continuous BGM. It was not even close, getting ranges in excess of 40 points above actual blood glucose levels. After tracking it over 20 samples, I was hoping it would provide at the very least, a relative history but not so. Why? Because when it would strike into the low range, it was actually the opposite as the high range meaning my readings were higher than the CGM was providing. Meaning that there was no way to get an accurate tracking because the ranges were off in both directions. To make it more frustrating, the system "ended early" after 4 days even though the sensor was optimally attached, covered, and kept dry.The system simply does not perform and if I were a diabetic or hypoglycemic, this device could be dangerous. It should not be on the market, it should be recalled until the technology is properly developed.
