Just got this, works great
Very easy to use, works with tight compression socks. I have had to have someone help me take my socks off until now. Just used this for the first time and I got my socks off easily. Well worth the price. It is made of very strong plastic that should stand up to daily use for a long time. I like that the grip end lets me hang it by my chair within easy reach.

Wonderful
Well, in this case, you get what you pay for. I bought a less expensive aid and it cut my leg. This aid is wonderful. It is nice that you can do this while seated. Would this help someone I know who wears a hip-high compression stocking on one leg?

Does a great job!
This has been great. I am 70 & have had 4 lower back surgeries with 4 fusions & am so stiff now, I have difficulty reaching my feet. I have to wear support stockings & socks. I have a device to help me put them on but it didn't help me take them off. I was leery of this thing because it's plastic & I worried it might break. This thing is really strong, thick plastic so I doubt it will break. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it has a curve in it that works great on my right leg. As I slide it down my right leg, it curves around & ends up near the back of my heel... which is great! But it's awkward to do on the left side. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I have also used it as a long shoehorn too since putting on shoes is also difficult.

Best Sock Remover
I bought this for my 80 year old grandfather. He’s a bigger guy and can’t bend over to take his socks off. He hates that he needs my grandmother to do it for him. So I was determined to find a product that he could use to remove his super tight fitting compression socks.I bought a few different types of “sock removers” that all claim to take of compression socks. We put them all to the test and this one is the winner! He’s able to hook the sock on and push it down to his ankle and remove it. It’s not too heavy that it gets his hands tired. It’s not flimsy at all either. It’s thick, smooth plastic and strong.Definitely recommend this for anyone that needs help in removing their socks.

Better to do it yourself
I found this item very uncomfortable to use, and curvature not comfortable on my ankle and heel. While tinkering in the garage, decided to try making my own out of a scrap piece of Kydex. Works great. Slight curve provides sufficient rigidity, folded end provides "handle" for ease of pushing. Pull sock top down as far as you can without undue strain, tool slips easily between leg and lower part of sock, push tip just below heel, easily leverages sock over heel for quick removal. Nor a precision tool, but gets the job done easily.

Great device!! High Compression socks come off easily
There is a learning curve with this device. But once I got the hang of using it, what a help!! It easily removes my high compression knee high socks. It is also a well-made heavy duty device. Nothing flimsy about this device, unlike so many others available.

It works but you have to work with it’s curve
I was able to remove thigh high compression sock from my left leg, after I got most of the sock down past the ankle. But you must take note of the curve, so you dont bank or bruise your legs. The piece is made of a very hard, sturdy plastic. No way it is going to crack even. I’m hoping it’s easier to use when I need to wear knee high compression socks as part of hip surgery recovery.
